Autorica slikovnice “Luna” u svome djelu ističe važnost informiranja djeteta o njegovom usvajanju od najranijeg uzrasta. Iako ne postoji jasna uputa o tome kako to učiniti, autorica i njen suprug osmislili su način pričanja priče u trećem licu, počevši već s djetetom od dvije godine. Na taj način, dijete je odrastalo s razumijevanjem da je odabrano i voljeno, smatrajući da je rođeno u njihovim srcima.
